Rahul Verma

This website is owned and maintained by Rahul Verma, a software tester by profession. He has been in the field of software testing for more than six years and has explored the areas of functional, performance and security testing.

Rahul has presented at several conferences, organizations and academic institutions including CONQUEST, STeP-IN, ISQT, TEST2008, Yahoo! India, McAfee, Applabs, IIT Chennai and STIG. His recent presentations were on the subjects of Fuzzing, Performance Engineering COE, Web Application Security, User behavior and Performance Perception Analysis (UBPPA) and Anti-Malware Technology. He got the Testing Thought Leadership Award at TEST2008 conference for Testing Perspective (this website), along with the Best Innovative Paper Award for his paper on design of fuzzing frameworks.

This site hosts his blog, his free online book “How Would Pareto Learn™ Python” and the tools which he is developing including PyRAFT which is registered with SourceForge as an open-source project. His compilation of views on the subject of Schools of Testing is also available in Testing Perspective Literature Wiki.

Rahul holds a B.Tech degree from REC Jalandhar. He has been associated with professional theatre, music, poetry and stage anchoring for more than 12 years and was selected for a Punjab-UK Cultural Exchange Programme and a 30-day workshop by National School of Drama.

He believes that one grows by building and sharing knowledge and he feels good that there are many people on the web who share similar thoughts and are sharing their knowledge with the world.
