About Testing Perspective

Testing Perspective is an online software testing knowledge base. Software testing has grown from so-called house-wife's job to something very challenging and a job which requires a lot of technical knowledge. This is neither the world of just manual testers nor the toolsmiths. The line between a software tester and a developer is getting thinner by the day in terms of need for understanding technical details. This site aims at serving to a software tester's ever-growing need for building knowledge.

Origin

Testing Perspective started as a weblog on software testing, providing new ideas and analysis of existing software testing concepts. The efforts were received well and soon the limitations popped up. The efforts were spread across various websites in the form of weblog, book hosting, automation project and a small website for hosting documents and web resource links. The need to combine all the efforts in a single place was realized. That is how this website came into existence.

Hosting History

The TP Blog was hosted at blogspot originally as http://testingperspective.blogspot.com. There was a need to share PPTs and putting articles in better form than a blog, so I started a small website at googlepages: http://mytestingperspective.googlepages.com. Then came How Would Pareto Learn™ Python website at http://www.ibiblio.comand the PyRAFT project website at http://pyraft.sourceforge.net.

This was quickly becoming unmanageable and unnecessarily complex and so I bought the domain and hosting service for www.testingperspective.com.
